Beeswax candles

Every candle is poured from wax our own bees made — cappings saved at harvest, filtered, and nothing else added. No paraffin, no soy, no fragrance. They smell faintly of honey because that is what they are.

Where the wax comes from

Bees build comb from wax they secrete themselves, and cap each cell of finished honey with a fresh layer of it. Those cappings are sliced off at harvest — and that is the wax our candles are poured from. Nothing is bought in, which is also why we can only make as many candles as the season's honey allows.

Sizes and case counts are quoted on inquiry — how much we can pour is set by how much wax the season gave us.

Votives and altar candles

Beeswax is the traditional wax for church candles. The Catholic Church has long required altar candles to be made substantially of beeswax — a requirement paraffin and soy blends cannot meet, whatever else they are. Ours is 100% beeswax and nothing else, so it qualifies without argument.

We supply parishes and religious goods shops alongside the gift shops and grocers, in votives and in tins. Sizes and case counts are quoted on inquiry.
